The Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission (SMAC) sits in a gray deco building on Del Paso Boulevard quietly giving away money through its various grant programs to support local artist and art organizations. Much of the theatre, music and public art Sacramento experiences is a direct result of the hard working staff of SMAC. A staff that is mission driven to not only provide funding in support of various artistic and cultural ventures but to also help stabilize the artistic community as well as to educate the public at large.
